JasaPrinto Team · · Updated 5 Oct 2026
There are three popular ways to print custom T-shirts. Here's how they compare.
| DTF | Screen printing | Sublimation | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | 1–100 pcs, full colour | 100+ pcs, 1–4 colours | Polyester, all-over prints |
| Fabrics | Cotton, blends, polyester | Cotton, blends | White polyester only |
| Colours | Unlimited | Limited per screen | Unlimited |
| Feel | Thin film, flexible | Soft, durable | Zero feel (dyed into fabric) |
DTF (Direct-to-Film)
A design is printed onto film and heat-pressed onto the garment. It handles photos and gradients beautifully and needs no minimum order — that's why we use it for most custom T-shirts.
Screen printing
Ink is pushed through a mesh screen, one colour at a time. It's the most economical for large runs with simple designs.
Sublimation
Ink turns into gas and bonds with polyester fibres. Ideal for sportswear and mugs, but it doesn't work on cotton.
Our recommendation: for fewer than 100 pieces or colourful designs, choose DTF. Design your T-shirt.
